Dal Dhokli

Traditional Gujarati one-pot meal with spiced wheat dumplings in toor dal.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Khajoori Tuver Dal Tukda
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • Jaggery, tamarind, peanuts
  • Ghee for tempering

Instructions

Instructions

  1. Cook dal with turmeric, jaggery, tamarind until soft.
  2. Make stiff dough with wheat flour, turmeric, chili powder, oil, salt.
  3. Roll thin and cut into diamond shapes.
  4. Drop into boiling dal. Cook 15 min. Add peanuts.
  5. Temper with ghee, mustard, cumin, hing, curry leaves.
